Work We Hate #4

Is it possible for all of us to work jobs we love?

  1. it is possible but not for everybody. It may possible for some people to have a job that they love and make enough money to support their families. On the other side, some people may have jobs that earn enough money to support their families but they may not like it. Sometimes, people want to have a job they love and able to earn enough money but they don’t qualify for that (lack of education or the jobs experiences).

  2. It is not possible for all of us to work jobs we love. Because there is a limited positons that the community can offer. Eventhough people's interests are different, but base on the huge population, it is very hard for everybody to get whatever they like and it is even harder for everybody that gets enough education for their life goal. Also, sometime people overrate themselves, and actually they can't handle what they like. All three of the conditions cause that we can't work jobs that we love.

  3. I agree with both Benson and Xiao-Li, we cannot all find a job that we love. Only a few fortunate people may find themselves with a job that they actually love and be able to support themselves and their family. We certainly do have to consider the circumstances for each job like the financial aspect and qualifications. For example, you may find that painting is your dream career, but you are not making enough money to support your family. Another example is that you want to be a NFL Football player, but lets be practical not all of us is cut out for it. Therefore, must of us must submit and take up jobs that are realistic and would best suit us with our circumstances. Its sad, but its the truth.

  4. Yes, it is possible for all of us to work jobs we absolutely love depending on which fields you interested in or they have priority over the living (in the ideal world). For example, as Dtwelves89 said, paint is your dream job, this is kind of job that you can do it as part-time job. However, in this contemporary society a dream job may or may not pays enough for ours needs to live, such as paying phone, electricity, gas, water and house bills, etc. Perhaps we can have multi-jobs, a job we somewhat dislike, just to earn decent money support our family expenses. But I assure they will be proud of their success after years of toil away in jobs they hates in hopes of the realization—to attain the true American dreams.

  5. It is not feasible that we could all be in jobs we all love, for the same reason that all fingers are not equal. We however could grow to love our jobs or do something about it. We could quit or acquire other skills to help us move on! Atleast we do have a choice!

  6. On this question, I stand neautral, because attaining the desired job really depends on how much the individual wants it. It is possible for us to work the jobs we love if we believe we can and put effort into it. Like we all know, it is a competitive, dog eat dog world outside, and if you aren't "good" or "fit" enough for the job you are definitely not going to get hired even though you may love the job. Supposedly lets say I love accounting yet I don't get good grades in the classes, and if I ever come out into the workfield the chances of me being hired as an accountant is quite slim when compared to those that achieved higher grade back in graduate school. Sometimes it is not possible for us work the job we want and we'll be forced into doing something else to ensure our survival.

  7. It isn't possible. Although we can't always get the job that we necessarily love, we can always make the best out of the job. For example, I tutor kids, and the work is pretty stressful. However, I enjoy the kids' company. They are what make my job worthwhile.

  8. I think that it is everybody's dream to has a job that we love to do and at the same time make enough money to support thier family. but that is not alway the case. some people have to do whatever job they can find to make a living. they just cannot afford to be picky. for example, every day i saw my parents came home tired and exhauted from thier jobs. I know that they did not like thier job at all, but they still had to get up early everyday to go to work because they have a family to support, bills to pay. so, I don't think that it is possible for all of us to work jobs we love.

  9. In my point of view, I don't think everyone can get a job tat they like to do. Sometimes, we may need experience to improve ourselves first, and then we might get into that level. Chinese always say, " You may not like your work, but you have to know it is only a stepping stone and you will climb higher and live better after you pass this stepping stone." I believe in this theory because we need to train ourselves, so we can win in the competitions. After we won, we can do what we want to do. However, sometimes, we may not need the competitions because some of the jobs requirement aren't high, but we may need luck in those of the jobs. For example, author, director or other jobs about art. I saw someone's drawing before and it amazed me for about 1 week. However, after few months, I met a new friend and his drawing impressed me more deeply (like a month). What is the meaning of it? It means there are many people work for same direction or target and they can be your partner or your challenge. You can learn something from them, but you may lose in the competition because of them. However, it's not the point. The point is luck because if you have no luck, there'll not be a chance for you. Therefore, if there is a great opportunity in front of you, I think it is the changing point and you may work what you love.

  10. I don't think its possible for us to work at jobs we love. At times we hear people saying they lover their job, but do they really love their job, or do they just love the money that they are getting? If everybody had their way of getting the job they want, the world would be a much better place.

  11. We cannot control the reality as we think and like, so it is impossible for all of us to get a job we love. Becasue of making a living, most people would like to choose a job that creat a lot of money rather than get a job they love but little money. However, some people can obtain a job not only they love but also have good benefit. Usually these jobs require more experience and high level education. On the other hand, I think if we are responsible for our jobs, sooner or later we can find some interesting things inside of the jobs.

  12. I think it’s impossible for all of us to get a job we love; however, it’s possible for some of us to find a job we love. Since it’s out of control. We find work in margin way; however, it’s hard for us to find a work we love and the income is high enough.
I remembered that when we were a child, we had lots of dream. In fact, how many people can still keep their dreams? We want to be a famous person when we are so young. On the other hand, when we are growing day by day, we found out that we are just a common person. There are still some examples for us to show some people found the jobs they loved because they made the biggest decisions and they didn’t give it up.

  13. The possibility of a person loving their job is when they like doing that job that it their favorite thing in the world and they will never get tired of working all day. Finding a job that we love to do is hard to find because I tried finding one that I like to do but to no end.

  14. It can be possible to make this world provide jobs that people love but, it requires a full understanding of what means to lose in order to gain. It is like making a war, you have to sacrifice lives in order to win the war. What sacrifices are expected? A sacrifice of changing the world's system. Everything has to change, culture of the societies has to change, financial and economical system has to change, political system has to change, everything must be changed. Doesn't all this ask a very huge sacrifice of life? Doesn't all this ask a very huge sacrifice of time? So, the last question would be, are human beings ready to sacrifice themselves to create a better world to the future generation? I don't think so. In this corrupted system, where selfishness has prevailed, I see it very hard to create jobs people love and satisfy all human beings.

  15. Is it possible? Yeah, it’s possible but like Tee Kaey mentioned, it is very hard. As we grow up, we learn all the things that we have to do to survive but with time these things influence and cover our dreams. When we were young, we all wanted to become Kings, Presidents, Doctors, NBA players, etc. As time goes by and as we grow up, we start to analyze things and say, “Ok, maybe I might not be able to become a president or a king but I’ll be a doctor or an NBA player instead.” Then we reach out teen years and realize that the chances of becoming an NBA player are very slim. As a result, we say to ourselves, “I’m too short. I’m too slow. I’m not good enough”; consequently, that dream will also disappear into thin air. Later on we reach our college years; we have to pick a major and a university to attend to, and suddenly we think to ourselves, “I can’t pay for med school. I don’t want be in school for another ten years. I can’t handle the pressure.” Thus, we pick a more convenient path like going to a community college or changing our major. Eventually, circumstances and the environment that surround us shape our future. On the other hand, we always try our best to do what inspires and motivates us even though we might not get the opportunity and support to become what we originally wanted to be. So is it possible? Yes, but not probable.

  16. The answer to this question depends on how much effort someone is willing to put into reaching a dream job. If has a dream of becoming a doctor and is also trying to raise a family. A second job might come in the way of going to medical school and thus prevent said person from reaching their dream job.
Life comes with a lot of obstacles so reaching a dream job might mean sacrificing a lot. If it really is a dream job the sacrifices might not feel so bad. So I believe it is a possibility.

  18. For the answer of this question, I don’t think it is possible for all of us to work jobs that we love. Everyone has their own dream of working the job they love, and make good money, but not everyone can work jobs they love to work. They have to work whatever jobs they could find. Even though, they are not happy about that job, still they have a family to support, and they have to make living, too. Even if they hate their jobs so must, still they have no choice, but they have to continue on working the jobs that they hate.

  19. I agree with Xiao-Li, Is it not possible for all of us to work jobs we love. Just come into the society is not possible to find a job that the world really need, and you love and can competent it. If you can, that is real very lucky. Generally, a perfect job is find should pass through endless seeking, comparing, and thinking. Maybe has to have a little bit luck. However, how many people can really find it? Indeed, ever thought many people knew some jobs are not they real like, they have no choice because they have to live.

  20. It may be possible for all of us to work jobs we love. There is a small group of people can achieve their dream, we not only can say they are lucky, and I believe that they probably devote a lot that we cannot image it. At the same time, I think it depends on how you define the “the job we love”. If you want to be a CEO, but you only get an AA degree, how and where can find the job that you love. Sometimes, we cannot choose and work the job we like at the beginning, but if the job can satisfy our demand, why not we became more positive and keep an open mind, we may probably gradually love it.

  21. This is a very good question.I think there are a minor group of people can work for there jobs that they loved. Most of the people don't like their career.Since 90% of people can't seek their goals, however they still need to work in order to earn salaries for their life.
only very less like 10% of people can seek their dreams in their life. Besides most of my friends dislike their jobs.

  22. In my opinion, it's impossible to get jobs we love. There are many factors making a job be a favorite, such as salary, company's background, working environment, co-workers, opportunity for promotion, administrative policies, etc. For example, we enter a post that we prefer, we have to deal with inter-personal relationship. Also, we have to follow companies’ regulations; some of them may be outdated or unreasonable. They will be frustrations of the work. Or, we may get bored to do tedious work. As a result, we will no longer love that job.

  23. I think it is not possible for all of us to work jobs we love. A lot of people say that they can’t find the jobs that we love. As “xiao-li” said “ We have lack of education or the lack of experience.” This is one of the reason people could find the job they love. Furthermore, people who are majoring in the one of the major, but finally they may find the jobs which are not relate with their major. It is not nothing in our plan, sometimes the real world always against with our plan; the plan can’t catch up the step of the plan.

  25. In my opinion, Chinese expect to work hard, while westerns like to enjoy their lives. I think life is art and you need to keep balance of the both sides, so I will try to balance my job and my pastime. I will work hard on my job and enjoy the life after work. It doesn’t mean I have to spend a lot of money to have pleasure. Catching an exciting movie or reading a nice book after work can make me calm down from the intense work. Of course, if you find a job that you enjoy it, you are lucky.

  26. In my opinion, it's difficult for all of us to have a job we love. Since the job opportunity is limited, when we looking for a job, we will consider other factors, such as wages, schedule first than interests. Moreover, what job we can get also depend on our education and experience.
I think if we have a job we love is a wonderful thing, make the life more enjoyable, however, I worried that if we have our interest repeat every day, is it possible to get tired of that, and become not a interest for us any more?

  28. I think it is not possible for all of us to work jobs we love. There are two reasons for that.
The first reason is that we do not have enough opportunities to work we love and wnat because there are so many people in the world on the contrast to that the number of jobs are limited. Therefore our society is very competitive. We always have to compete to do or get what we want and olny winners can take what they want. In order to get a job we would be tested by employers and they choose the more competitive people as the employee. So, it is impossible for all of us to work jobs we love.
The second reason is that we would not have the ability to do what we want even though we want to do that. For example, a person whose lung and heart are week can not be a marathoner even though he wants to be. Therefore it is impossible for all of us to work jobs we love.

  29. I believe it is possible. The job you love may not be your primary job, but it is possible to do work in things that you love. It also depends what you define as a job. You can volunteer your time to do the things you love, which would probably require you to have a job you don't care for so much to support yourself but you would still be able to enjoy putting work into things that you love.
