How important do you think socio-economics are to this story? To this society? Are people generally treated differently depending on how much money they have?
People social interaction with each other in this story seem basic, a way of just saying hello to one another and getting to not know who they are. Yes, people are treat differently if they have more money because it changes the standard that who can you talk to in society point of view. That no one can just rise up to be a upper-class rich person and be accepted if they never have training, they believe people that are lower-class have no formal manner and think that they are slobs.
socio-economics is always importand to this society because economic activity and social life go side by side. i think people do not treat you differently because of how much money you have, but people do treat you differently becasue of your socio-economic status. sometimes, people treat you differnt becasue of your personalities and personalities can change when people have more money.
We all know that money is a driving force to the way society is structured. In this poem it is obvious to see that the artist-couple were very different from the environment they moved into. From what I understood, the people who lived in the neighborhood were there because they had nowhere else they could go to. This is what made this couple different. They were there because they had the freedom and resources to explore and do what they enjoy, and when they were faced with difficulties, it showed that they were really different from the other people in their community. They simply bowed down and moved away instead of fighting back which is what the locals would have done had they ever been in their place. In conclusion, in this particular situation, I think they were treated differently because it’s in the human nature to dislike something that is out of one’s comfort zone and dissimilar to one’s culture.
In this story, socio-economics was a relevant topic covered and as kal stated, the couples were forced to live in a sub par neighborhood likely because their income was not suitable for them to upgrade to a better community. If they were able to move to be a better place, perhaps, their cat would not have been killed. Furthermore, perhaps, that’s what poverty does; it requires you to become more territorial and paranoid just as the black cats were. The killing could have been justified if the cats were simply protecting their home and felt the white cat was merely a threat.
In society, socio-economics is gradually becoming more diverse and unified despite the despondent condition the economy itself is in. Competition is the driving force that has shaped the way socio-economics is today. If one takes account to how business was conducted a few decades ago, they were predominantly managed by Caucasians. However, U.S. immigration has skyrocketed since then, leading to a more diverse society forcing people to effectively cooperate with one another with little to no forms of prejudice.
I certainly believe people are generally treated different based on their wealth, especially in today’s economy. It could be reasoned that some people want to associate themselves with those of higher classes so that they themselves may attain such ranks. However, I personally believe it is foolish to treat certain people differently simply because they have more or less money than you.
I do believe that we are all judge on some status. Money, posession's or living arrangments, ect. I was once told that we use each other whether it be conversation or a little bit of knowledge. I do believe that we can learn a lot from each if we could get past status. This can only happen if we look past what each person has and look withour ear's.Then we will finally see the truth.
I think the socio-economics was very important in the story. I also agreed kal‘s opinion. As we read the story, we can know that if the couples can have more money, they can live in a better environment. In the real world, our parents want us to be a success person because they hoped we can have a better live and can live in a better environment. Furthermore, in today’s economic, more and more people were unemployment. As a result of that, more and more people went back to school to study because they wanted to change their lives. Finally, I think in generally people are treated differently depending on how money they have. For example, if you are rich in China, and drive a cool car go to the hotel. The door-man may open your car-door and help you park your car. However, if your car is old and not good enough, the door-man even don’t want to talk to you. You need to park your car by yourselves.
Socio-economic importance is relatively prominent in our society. The government's ongoing disregard for the overwhelming majority of its citizens has become more apparent between the upper class and working class, and thus creating a rift between the two. The working class produces all wealth in a society, this leads to a class struggle whereby the rich get richer, poor gets poorer, and the working stays working. In terms of treatment, the rich attains most wealth, dignity, honor, and fame whereas the working are the underdogs of society. So long as this continues, the magnitude of the problem is sociological injustice.
